So I finally moved over to Blogspot so that publishing of this is now trivial and doesn't require an
ftp server somewhere. Hopefully this means I'll post news more often. Also looking at MSN Spaces but I'll stick with this for the time being. Tons of bits and pieces which I haven't reported on over the past few months; new niece Rachel, new house in Old Chapel, Argolon work expanding nicely, waistline not expanding but not shrinking, and no christmas shopping done yet.

More top class baby news from the Roberts'. Matthew Roberts was born 5th March, weighing in at 6lb 6oz. After a rough few days, the wee blighter is thriving. Sleep deprivation, sore nipples and post-natal hair loss are the order of the day, but lucklily that's just Frank, Helen is doing great.

Great news from the O'Brolchain's - Ruairi Hugh O'Brolchain was born at 00:10 on the 10th Jan 2004. He weighed 7lb 12 oz. It is not thought that he was delivered by Shimano section but it is expected that Ruairi will cycle himself home ;-)

I have formed a new enterprise, Argolon Solutions Ltd. , providing Software development and IT services to Irish business. I am already working with our first client and hope to build the client list as 2004 progresses.

Only 6 weeks late with this posting, but we are overjoyed to announce the birth of Sibéal Mary Rose O'Neill in St. Finbarr's Hospital, Cork on October 31st. A fab wee sister for the other two monsters. Apart from sleep deprivation, all are doing brilliantly.

Hurrah. We've decided to rent in Bandon. So if anyone is down West Cork way, pop into us in No X, The Priory, Old Chapel, Bandon, Co. Cork. Plenty of room for plenty of visitors. Getting the keys today. Entire contents of Brookfield Green moving down next Thursday.

A bit late with my good news but I've taken up a position as a Software Development Manager in EMC in Ovens down in the People's Republic of Cork. Started on June 11th. It has been a roller-coaster ride so far but it's a great place to work. Now to find a house and get Catherine, Fetus and two children down here.

Moving Blog to new Eircom Homepage now that I have ADSL

Sadly, as of Tuesday, I am no longer part of Advanticus Technologies. Considering the state of the world economy, the business has been doing quite well, but personal financial circumstances mean that I can no longer afford to keep going. I'm sure the remaining founders will make a big success of it and I wish them all the best.

We recently got hit by the Bugbear virus. As a result I installed MailScanner, SpamAssassin and Razor on our work mail server and they now scan and process all incoming and outgoing mail. I can't recommend this trio of tools highly enough. Not only did they catch further BugBear hits, they also tag over 90% of the spam I receive so I can filter to trash. Go get em!

Eoin and Jill Pierce have a new baby girl, Aine Elaine Pierce. Born 8.30, Friday October 18th and weighing in at 7lbs. Great news and lets hope she enjoys playing in the new kitchen whenever Eoin finishes it........
